After a successful run in Bangladesh during Eid, Shakib Khan’s popular movie ‘Borbaad’ is now releasing in the Middle East.
The film has already been shown in the USA, Canada, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, and Denmark. In each of these countries, it did very well at the box office. Now, starting from May 15, ‘Borbaad’ will be released in four Middle Eastern countries.
The movie is being distributed worldwide by PHF Distribution, a well-known company that also released hit movies like Baahubali, RRR, Marko, and Hit in many countries.
This is the first time PHF Distribution is working with a Bangladeshi film. Producer Shaharin Akhter Sumi said, “This is the first time PHF is distributing our movie. It took some time to pass the censor boards in the Middle East, which caused a delay.”
The movie was made by Real Energy Productions and directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy. Along with Shakib Khan, it stars Idhika Paul, Misha Sawdagor, Jisshu Sengupta, and Mamunur Rashid.
According to the producers, ‘Borbaad’ has earned around 75 crore BDT (about $6.5 million) worldwide so far. This is seen as a major success in the history of Bangladeshi cinema.
Now, after Europe and America, ‘Borbaad’ is ready to win hearts in the Middle East—once again proving Shakib Khan’s global popularity.
